BHYSC COVID Return to Play Guidelines
BHYSC has established RETURN TO PLAY guidelines during the COVID Pandemic, effective July 18, 2020
BHYSC Return to Play will include intra-team, intra-club, inter-league (EDP, Mid NJ and SYSL) full contact training and play
BHYSC strongly emphasizes that participation remains optional for all families. If families do not feel comfortable returning to play, they should not.
BHYSC requires all players to sign the attached COVID acknowledgment waiver.
BHYSC is aligned and will abide by all current protocols/orders directed by the Office of the NJ Governor and the NJ Department of Health.
In the event of a positive COVID-19 BHYSC player, all training groups and individuals involved in contact play will be notified by NJ Department of Health contact tracers. Practices and games for these teams and individuals will be suspended for 14 days.
If your child or anyone in your household has had a cough, sore throat and/or fever in the last 24 hours before a training session or game, please stay home. Parents [should take their child’s temperature before coming to any BHYSC event. Any temperature over 100, please stay home. If players cannot attend school because of COVID-related symptom or contact-tracing quarantine, they should not attend any BHYSC training session or game.
Athletes, trainers and coaches must be screened through a temperature check prior to all practices and games. If an individual has a fever of 100 or higher they may not participate in any activities. BHYSC will provide one contactless thermometer for each team.
Players should arrive to training sessions wearing a mask; masks may be taken off at the start and duration of training sessions. Each player should bring necessary sanitizing products with them at every training. Each player should bring their own ball, training pinnie(s) and drinking water. Pinnies will be distributed by coaches. Pinnies and water should not be shared between players.
Coaches or trainers should provide socially distanced areas for bags and water to be dropped upon arrival. Please place your bag and water at the designated cones. Although training and play is full contact, we will socially distance when we are not playing.
Coaches and/or trainers will wear masks when conversing with the kids within 6 feet.
Spectators should wear masks and socially distance themselves at all BHYSC events.
